Your Hands On Equations, Lesson 14 sheet is due tomorrow! Use this time to get it done. :)
Good Morning, Friends! If you did not turn in your Hands On Equations, Lesson 13 sheet to Mrs. Girschle on Friday, please give it to me now. Then, your vocabulary introduction video for this week is included below. The story is the strangest one of the year, so pay close attention. Enjoy! :) Happy Friday, Friends!
First thing this afternoon... If you have Hands On Equations Lesson 11 or 12 worksheets that are complete and not yet turned in, please give them to Mrs. Girschle now as they are due today. Then, please read this information about Hands On Equations Lesson 13... The new knowledge for Lesson 13 is very simple. Sometimes you set up an equation and see number cubes on both sides. These problems will be easier to solve if you first use your number cubes "legal move" to get the number cubes on one side only. After the cubes are taken care of, focus on getting only one color of pawn on the other side, again using legal moves...and convenient zeros, if necessary. I have included two example problems as pictures below. Next, please politely ask Mrs. Girschle for a copy of the Hands On Equations Lesson 13 sheet. This is due Monday. If you finish this sheet during class time, please have Mrs. Girschle check it. If you have errors, she will give it back so that you may re-work the problems and re-submit. Once all problems have been solved correctly, she will keep your sheet for my review. Finally, if time remains... You may choose your own activity as long as it fits in the following guidelines: silent, honest, independent, school appropriate. You may not do anything to disrupt your peers and you must stay in your own seat. Maybe study for a Social Studies retake?? Use this link (click here) for our vocab Lesson 6 quiz.
Then...
Good Afternoon!
Happy March!
First, please make sure you're in your new assigned seat this morning. Then, please see me for the "all clear" on late or missing work. If you have late/missing work, it needs to be in my hands by 9:15 or it's responsibility room. Finally, use any remaining time to study for our vocabulary quiz (on Thursday!) using this Quizlet link. |
