Hi Friends. Your Social Studies assignment for today has two parts. You may work on both parts with a partner of your choosing, but the entire assignment must be finished during class time or you'll both be in for Responsibility Room tomorrow. Be sure to read directions carefully. Good Luck!
Part 1 -- 5 Themes of Geography: Review
We talked extensively about the 5 Themes of Geography earlier this school year. Today you will be completing a notes sheet as a review of this material.
First, please ask Mrs. Anderson for a handout. If you're working with a partner, you will both need to complete your own sheet today.
Then, use the photograph found at this link OR the slideshow found at this link to complete the sheet. Be sure to fill in every blank on your handout.
Part 2 -- Questions Geographers Might Ask...
As you know from our study of the 5 Steps of Geographic Inquiry (ask, acquire, organize, analyze, answer), geographers as lots and lots of questions. Your job today is to categorize questions that a geographer might ask into the appropriate theme of Geography. You may use your notes from Part 1 to help you.
Follow this link to complete this assignment. If you are working with a partner, please only submit one response per pair of students. Also, please be ready to defend your answers for each question, as we will be discussing who chose which theme for each question (and why!) in class tomorrow. Good Luck!
