Today in class we completed a "card sort" related to the responsibilities of the federal, state, and local government. I'm attaching documents related to this activity below, primarily for ACT students who missed class.
While there is no requirement that you practice at home using these "card sort" documents, ten of these responsibilities will be on our Government test on Friday, so this could be a meaningful study tool.

Remember that any thing in your Social Studies folder (anything completed during this unit) is fair game for the test. Test topics will include the following:

- What it takes to be elected President of the United States -- See nine box flowchart handout (completed using Kids Discover: How America Works magazine) and refer to information about the Electoral College shared in class
- Responsibilities of Federal, State, and Local governments -- See documents below and/or handout (completed using Take a Stand book, pg. 9)
- Branches of the State and Local Governments -- See tree diagram (to be completed in class Wednes 10/8)
